Refund Policy

Please carefully read and understand this policy as it is strictly followed.

Horizon West Youth Sports & Cheer has set the following guidelines on refunds concerning registration fees for our youth sports programs.

Requesting a Refund

To request a refund, send a written email to [email protected] with a detailed explanation. Our board will review the request and determine the refund amount.

Eligible Refund Situations

• Injury
• Moving out of area
• Not filling team roster due to lack of participation

Non-Eligible Refund Situations

• Weather cancellations
• Unhappy with team assignment
• Request not honored
• Scheduling conflicts

Medical Refunds

A doctor's note on letterhead is required to process medical refunds. If the refund is requested before the season starts, a $50 administration fee will be deducted.

Refund Amount Considerations

The refund amount depends on the season's progress and the reason for the request. Refunds are unlikely for injuries occurring late in the season.

Moving Out of Area

Parents who provide proof of moving out of the school district will receive a refund minus a $50 administration fee.

Team Roster Not Filled

If a team roster is not filled, parents have two options:

• Option 1: Receive a credit for the following season, valid for one year.
• Option 2: Receive a refund minus a $25 administration fee.

Scheduling Conflicts

No refund will be issued if a scheduling conflict arises. Instead, a credit will be provided for a future program, valid for one year.

Refund Methods

• Credit Card Return: Refunds are processed back to the original card and may take 5-7 business days.
• Check Refund: If the original payment was made via cash or check, a refund check will be mailed, which may take up to 2-3 weeks.

Late Registration Policy

No refunds or prorated fees for missed practices or games due to late registration will be given.

Policy Discretion

Horizon West Youth Sports & Cheer reserves the right to waive this Refund Policy in exceptional circumstances at its sole discretion.
